Gode Mutton
Gode Mutton is a traditional, slow-cooked mutton (goat meat) curry originating from the Pathare Prabhu community of Mumbai. It is a staple Sunday lunch dish characterized by its sweet-and-spicy flavor profile, which comes from a unique, homemade spice blend rather than added sugar.

- ½ kg Mutton
- 4 Onion finely chopped
- 4 Potatoes cut into chunk
- 2 Tomatoes chopped
- ¼ cup Oil
- 1 tblspn Ginger paste
- 1 tblspn Garlic paste
- 1 tspn Haldi
- 2 tspn Chilli powder
- 3 tspn P.P.Shambhar pwd
- 4 Lavang Dalchini
- 1 inch 4 velchi
Heat the oil & add the Lavang, Dalchini and velchi along with the hing,
When well-tempered, add the onions and sauté, add tomatoes and sauté again for 5 min.
Apply all the dry masala to the mutton along with the ginger garlic paste and keep aside for 20 min.
Add all these to the onion mixture, adjust salt, and add 3 cups of water and cover it.
Let it cook for abt 30 min till the mutton is well done.
Add the potatoes to it and cook again till the potatoes are done
