Bimba Nayak
Born into the culturally vibrant Pathare Prabhu community, Bimba grew up in a home where food was more than sustenance—it was an expression of identity. The Pathare Prabhus have a distinct food culture that blends Maharashtrian heartiness with refined European influences, shaped over centuries of history. From her earliest years, Bimba was fascinated by the rituals of the kitchen—the measured roasting of spices, the patient kneading of bread, the way recipes were never written down but passed along in conversation, like whispered secrets.
Bimba is equally passionate about preserving Pathare Prabhu dishes, many of which are now rare even within the community.
Gauri Nayak
Daughter-in-law of Bimba, collaborates closely with her to showcase Pathare Prabhu cuisine at prestigious venues, blending tradition with contemporary appeal. Together, they highlight dishes rooted in the community’s history, including festival nivedya for Goddess Gauri.
Additionally, she supply sugar models and flowers to five-star hotels and other establishments.
